Week Fourteen

Within this week I will be creating a post questionnaire so that I am able to get peoples opinions form within my target audience. I think this would be useful as it will allow me to grasp a better understanding of what people are expecting from an R&B magazine. This will then help me make any adjustments and improvements i need to make.

Week Thirteen

This week i will be creating my double page spread. This will take longer as i was unable to find as much research on it but did find some due to magazines i looked at within the shops. I believe this will take longer also due to the fact that there has to be more written which i will be making up myself.

I will be aiming to finish this by the end of the week so that i will be able to go over my front page, contents and double page spread on the weekend.

Week Twelve

I have near enough finished my music magazine but will go back to it during the last week. This week i am focusing on my contents page.
I have reserached other music magazines such as 'vibe' and have decided to stick with the conventions of the layout as i like the lack of complexity they have to it.
I am not looking to spend as much time on the contents page as the frontpage because there is not as much detail that needs to be incorporated.

Week Eleven

I have created the layout for the front of my magazine already so i have started to think about the content which i would like to be included. I ahve looked closely at other magazines such as 'vibe' and 'blender' to see the sort of content which they consisted of.
This week i will be aiming to get the front cover for my music magazine done and will section out specific days for what i will be focusing on:
Monday: Layout of magazine
Tuesday: Researching content, incorporating the same sort of topics they deal with into my own
Thursday: Editing main image as there is only going to be one image on the front
Sunday: Looking closely at the music magazine and making sure all the conventions have been included

Logo Design

This is the logo that i have created for my music magazine. I used the image of a girl because i believed it fitted the representation of women in R&B magazines. In many of these magazine woman are sexualised, so i though that this cartoon icon best fit the genre.

I also added the word ‘DOMI’ which is short for the name of my magazine, dominance. This will allow my audience to recognise that this is my magazine once they have seen the logo and know what it represents.
